PurrCam puts you face to face with real people on live 1-on-1 cam. That is the fun of it, and it is also why a few simple habits matter. Here is how to keep your cam chats safe without killing the vibe.

Stay anonymous until you trust someone

You do not need an account to start, and that is on purpose — the less you share, the safer you are. Keep your real name, address, workplace, school, and anything financial out of the conversation until you genuinely trust the person on the other side. A stranger on cam has no reason to know where you live.

Watch what your camera shows

Your background says more than you think. Mail on a desk, a delivery box with your address, a school hoodie, a window with a house number — all of it can leak details you did not mean to share. Point your camera at a plain wall when you can, and check your frame before you go live.

Red flags: money, gifts, and switching apps

Anyone who asks you for money, gift cards, or crypto is a scam, full stop. So is anyone pushing you to move the chat onto another app within the first few minutes. Real people who want to talk are happy to talk right here. If it feels off, it is — end the chat.

Use skip and report freely

Every 1-on-1 room has skip and report one tap away. You never owe a stranger your time, so skip the second a chat is not for you. Report anyone who breaks the rules or makes you uncomfortable — it keeps the whole platform cleaner, and moderation acts on flags.

Protecting minors

PurrCam is intended for adults. Accounts belonging to minors, and any content that involves or sexualizes a minor, are not allowed. If you believe a minor is using the platform, or you come across content involving a minor, report it immediately so we can act.
